We were celebrating our 38th aniversary and wanted to try a different location,and didnt want to drive for hours.The lovely hinterland,so close to Brisbane.Mecure gave the break we qere looking forward too,great setting,views to Brisbane and coast,good food and atmosphere.Rooms comfy,bottle of sparkly to toast with.Helpfull staff.
We stayed here for a wedding ( two nights). About 7 couples in 7 rooms. It was a perfect amount of time here. Lovely deck that wraps around the restaurant overlooking Brisbane below. Checking in and out was easy and quick. The staff were all helpful. Breakfast was amazing - up there with the best I've had - so much to choose from. This property has a resort feel to it which makes you feel like you're having a getaway. There isn't much around to do but relax, swim in the large pool, eat/drink or go for a walk around the tropical hotel grounds but as we were at a wedding taking place here, it was a lovely atmosphere to relax in before the occasion. An IGA supermarket and take away shop is about 10-15 mins drive down the road, which is handy. The room itself was nice and clean, it had a cute little balcony and air conditioned. Some of our rooms had a spa bath, others just a shower, but they all looked very similar inside. The only downside to our stay was the expensive drinks and mini bar -1 mars bar was $4.
Wanted to go away just for the weekend and what a great place. Was checked in promptly and our room was extremely neat and tidy. Had a view out over the lake. Had a brilliant lunch at the lakeview restaurant out on the deck with a few beverages. Couldn't fault the meal and the service staff were extremely friendly. Dinner was ok but with the downside it was almost a 30min wait from finishing our mains and drinks to be asked if we'd like dessert or even another drink. The night view from the deck was great right from the lake to the city lights.
Will definitely be going back
Instead of staying in the Hustle and Bustle of the City, Clear Mountain offers beautiful views around Brisbane, clear air, and the relaxing sounds of nature. The staff are very friendly, and it's worth the extra drive in the morning.
